may update – hs girls sleepover!
May 24, 2009 · Leave a Comment
I love how God works. As different situations come up, we only learn how to get in deeper with Him. Isn’t He amazing?
We recently had a wrap-up high school girl sleepover at the house! I (robyn) have not eaten so much junk, watched movies, painted nails, put on face-masks, and stayed up till 2 am since I was in high school. Wow! I was done for about 3 days trying to catch up on sleep and nutrition. But we had so much fun. We enjoyed watching Nacho Libre (with commentary from the Bates’ twins who could quote that movie in their sleep) and Horton Hears a Who! And, to my surprise, most girls were up before me!!!! We then had an awesome time with God together. All in all, it was a GREAT sleepover.
and the month of may has been extremely restful. we’ve finished fun projects like a fabric headboard (pics soon) and have started on the “garden”, which is more like a mountain of “i don’t know what to do with this!” Austin proceded to dig up half of it today, and we’re looking to finish the digging portion of our gardening experience on monday. pray for wisdom!!!
and i noticed Austin wrote something in here about trying to get preggers. If you think about it, please pray Psalm 128 over us and our family.
Thank you to all our Military men & women who served and have died for our country! We appreciate all you have done. Happy Memorial Day!
And to yall have a great Memorial Day Weekend as well!

What are we doing with our lives!?!?!?
May 13, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Hey everyone, Robyn and I are on the verge of completing a 30 day prayer journal on what the heck we are going to be doing for the next 5 years of our lives!!! It is really exciting thinking through different possibilities. It has also been very unifying for Robyn and I to get our thoughts and dreams out on the table and talk through them together.
The three things that we are evaluating
1. re upping our commitment with the youth in Wheaton.
2. Heading back to school (Austin)
3. The senior leadership here in Wheaton has asked us to consider joining a church plant team to Colorado.
It is really fun thinking through our future, especially with Halle developing so quickly. There are a ton of possibilities in all three options and we are weighing the pros and cons carefully, trying to hear God’s heart on all three!
We also are gearing up for the push season for the youthgroup this summer. We have landed on a theme of pursuing REAL LIFE (John 10:10) and getting rid of false fillers i.e. video games, alchool, boy/girlfriends, music, drugs. The kids are really excited about it. It seems that alot of them are convinced that loving people like Jesus and obeying His commands is way more adventourous then they sitting around the tv all summer and wasting hours on facebook!
We have also been enjoying miracles in lifegroups! We have had several physical healings, and even a girl that cut her self had her scar totally disappear!
Robyn and I have also recently kicked off some great realtionships with some young families at church which has been a huge lifeline for both of us. Krishnamerthys, Stauffers and Swindells you guys are awesome!!!
One last thing we are hoping to get pregnant again soon….so be sure to ask : )
love you guys

hi all-
so its about that time… for an update that is!
1) We had the sonogram for halle lue’s kidney! thanks for all your prayers. the sonogram shows that she still has some swelling but our pediatrician couldn’t tell us if it was better or worse. so at this point we will be following up with the urologist to determine the status of her kidney.
thanks for all your prayers!! keep going!! we just heard a testimony of one of our friends’ little girl… she had the same issue since birth and at 20 mos. the doctor found her completely healed. so we are going to hang on to what God is saying…. HALLE LUE is healed & we’re going to keep pushing into God for it!

2) halle lue did great in india & has adjusted well to the states. we got her a pair of earrings for when she is older to remember her first overseas trip. thanks for supporting us & joining with us!!!
3) lastly – ever since we got back from india, austin james hoxie has been surprising me with little notes & presents for valentines day. and last night we went to the city for a surprise date to the signature room – which is the restaurant at the top of the john hancock building!!!! we went there the 2nd night we were married almost a year and 1/2 ago! it was so nice to just talk through where we’ve been as a couple, how we’ve grown & what we’ve enjoyed. here’s to many more. thanks austin for a valentines to remember!!

we’re back!
January 31, 2009 · Leave a Comment
hi all-
we are officially back from india! yay. we are currently in the process of recovering from jet lag. 2 nights ago, the 3 of us laid down for a nap at 3 pm and didn’t wake up officially until 6am the next day!! That will help for sure. So with that being said, Halle Lue or “Lue Lue” as we like to call her, has adjusted super well. Today (our 3rd day back) she has been more of her normal playful self. Pics to come.
On a more serious note, we are going into the hospital on 2/2 to have an ultrasound done again of her kidney. If you remember, she had kidney issues in the womb and they were still there at birth. this will be our 1st ultrasound since she was about 3 weeks old. We are believing for her to be completely HEALED and no trace of hydroneuphrosis (swollen kidney) to even be there. So we are going to take 2/1 (tomorrow) to fast and push into God again for her healing. He is the healer and His desire is for her to be healed. So if you feel led, please join with us that day to pray.
LOVE LOVE LOVE ya’ll.

Finishing Well!!!
January 22, 2009 · 1 Comment
Five Days left and counting…(austin at least)…
As we get ready to head back to the states our team has been busy handing off our relationships with the team here in India and establishing the H.C.’s, tying off any loose ends. There have been five H.C.’s initiated and I think three that are going to stick and reproduce which is a most succesfull trip for our team. Robyn and I are learning more and more about leadership and ministry in the midst of a growing family structure which is a blast!
We have been learning a ton about the Koran, Islamic culture and how to proclaim Jesus as the living God. It has been difficult cutting through our personal comfort to speak the truth about Jesus being the ONLY God and Savior, but his presence and power always follows the bold declaration! We have seen tons of healings of aches, headaches and pains, a women with arthritis has been totally healed for about two weeks, a patially deaf man recived full hearing in one hear and a man with a blind eye recived full sight in that eye.
If you could pray for three things
1. the H.C.’s get established and rooted in Jesus well
2. that we would finish this last push week well
3. Halle would adjust well to the time change coming home!!!
thanks for all your support
love
austin

semana dos

hi all-
The title is spanish for week 2. We have completed week one here in India! I’m so excited. Most of what we have been seeing is healings followed by people coming to know Jesus. Here are some awesome testimonies:
Some men on our team were talking about the truth to a few men in an influencial market area. They were sharing about how there are different “signs” that point to Jesus. After meeting with them 3-4 days in a row, the men finally decided that these “signs” were telling the truth, and 2 came to know the Sign from God!
God has been showing up at a local salon where we have been getting our hair cut and nails done. We have been in there 3 times, and all 3 times we have seen someone healed. The manager got healed of arthritis in her knees and danced in front of us. She was so touched that she called all the employees into her office to hear about the great Healer. Another time, a man burned his hands and was unable to wash them without pain. He couldn’t even put them in water. And after praying for him, he washed his hands with soap! He was healed. A few of us are headed back to try and meet weekly with people to talk about this Healer!
We have been so touched by God as well. Austin and I are now leading the trip. When you get pushed into the unknown, its fun to rely on God to lead you and guide you. Our times together as a team have been sweeter and sweeter. I look forward to the rest of what is going to happen. Please continue to pray for our health and protection and seeing God move!
Some thing(s) in the future:
1) A Day trip to help and encourage people way below the poverty line.
Thanks for reading the updates!
